To the editor:The Carroll County Kennel Club wishes to thank everyone who attended its recent dog ownership education program. Club members welcomed guests and provided information that included selecting the right breed of purebred dog, genetic tests and health clearances, how to find a responsible breeder, and the importance of proper training.To continue the education focus, the Carroll County Kennel Club will host Yvonne Nanasi, New Hampshire lobbyist for Dog Owners of the Granite State, at its next membership meeting. Yvonne will provide an update on all current and proposed state legislation relating to dog ownership and answer questions. The event is free and the public is invited to attend. The date is April 16 at the Red Jacket Mountainview Motor Inn in North Conway, beginning at 7 p.m.
