To the editor:A big, big, thank you to the good people of the North Conway Water Precinct for voting to allow the Birch Hill residents to share the precinct water, ending a very troubling period for the Birch Hillers. Also, many sincere thanks to all the officials who worked so diligently so that this could happen, especially the commissioners and the superintendent of the North Conway Precinct as well as the town fathers and staff who realized the seriousness of the problem. An article in the Conway Daily Sun on Nov. 20, in which Selectman Hounsell pointed out that before any work can commence, an intergovernmental agreement involving the crossing of town land must be completed and it is hoped that there will not need to be unnecessary political posturing or additional time lost before completion can take place.
