If a country bumpkin zoning meeting appears a bit polished and choreographed, usually big money is there to fleece the people. The Aug. 16 ZBA meeting was a case study in the corrupting influence of outside money.

Fat cat Dick Anagnost and his out-of-state partner Stefan Huba were there, and the former repeated many of the “pig with lipstick” lies he peddled at a planning board meeting earlier in the spring. But this time, a few new dubious characters were present.
