OSSIPEE — Parents will have the opportunity to learn how to spot clues that their kids are engaging in high-risk behaviors, such as drug abuse, at an event tonight (June 17) at the First Congregational Church's Family Life Center.

Melissa Fernald, a licensed clinical social worker and a master licensed alcohol and drug counselor, will run the presentation, called "High and Seek." Fernald founded a company called Safe Surroundings, which aims to increase awareness about and promote early detection of teenage alcohol and drug use.
