SUCCESS — A multi-year effort to secure a nearly 24,000-acre landscape of “working forest” in this unincorporated place between Berlin and Milan and the Maine border has been finalized, including acreage near the Appalachian Trail in the Mahoosuc Range.

The N.H. Division of Forest and Lands and The Conservation Fund, both key entities in the public-private partnership, pointed out that the no-development easement on the 8,700-acre northern parcel — Success Pond — was completed six months ago in March 2018.
