Conway Town Planner Ryan O'Connor said the town is working to revise the sign ordinance, which could take years. (DAYMOND STEER PHOTO)

CONWAY — As a result of losing a federal court case against Leavitt’s Country Bakery, the town has shelved its recently adopted public art ordinance. But does that mean anyone can put up a mural? Yes, but it has to comply with the town’s existing sign ordinance.

“Everything’s considered a sign,” replied Town Planner Ryan O’Connor, adding an applicant could have a mural so long as the mural met the various conditions in the zoning ordinance.
