JACKSON — Two women had to be transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin following a two-vehicle accident near Deadman’s curve in Pinkham Notch on Friday morning. The weather — freezing rain and snow — is being attributed to the cause of the collision.

According to Sgt. Michael Mosher of the Jackson Police Department, a sedan and Consolidated Communications bucket truck collided on Route 16 in the notch. He was toned out at 8:06 a.m., just as “the rain had started to switch over to snow.”
