CONWAY — The sensational holiday week of skiing continues, with the best Christmas week ski conditions in years following Friday and Christmas Day’s snowstorms, which left 18 inches of new snow on local trails.

As of Wednesday, snowfall total for the month stood at 34.2 inches, compared with 33.4 inches last December and the 30-year average of 17 inches, said local cooperative weather observer Ed Bergeron of North Conway.
