CONWAY — Task Force Eagle, a new student group designed to assist high school students in preparation for military service upon graduation, is soaring at Kennett High School. The program, which started in September, has a collection of 15-20 students who get a taste of the military and see if this might be a career path for them.

Joe Riddensdale is running the after-school program as the adviser. He spent 12 years as a hospital corpsman in the Navy Reserves. He was called to active duty for Desert Storm in 1991.
