TAMWORTH — In their first meeting since a floor collapsed at the Preserve at Chocorua, where reportedly 144 guests were assembled in a small barn on the property of the Tamworth wedding venue, Tamworth selectmen extended their good wishes to the six guests who were injured.
Callers reported multiple people were trapped under beams and farming equipment after the wooden floor gave way. State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey said at least 70 guests fell through the floor.
