CONWAY — Chris Caputo had a day to remember on Sunday.

Competing in the Division II State Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Leverone Field House on the Dartmouth College campus in Hanover, the Kennett High senior broke the school record three times on his way to becoming the state long jump champion. Later, he broke the school record in the 300 meters on his way to earning another medal as the sixth place finisher. And, he closed out his day by running a personal-best anchor leg on Kennett’s 4X200 relay team, which finished eighth overall, an astonishing 6.5 seconds faster than it had ever run.
