CONWAY — There’s a very good chance that for the first time in three years the Conway School Board’s recommended operating budget will be approved by the voters.

Each of the past two years, voters have defeated the board’s proposed operating budget, opting instead for the default budget, which has historically been the lesser of the two amounts. This year, however, for the first time, the default budget is actually $9,856 more than the board’s proposed 2026-27 operating budget.
