CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has temporarily closed a section of Route 302 in Crawford Notch due to flood damage to the Bemis Brook Bridge.

Assistant DOT Commissioner David Rodrigue told the Sun Wednesday the bridge’s south abutment was undermined by the waters of Bemis Brook near Crawford Notch State Park.
