CONWAY — It’s not every day a best-selling children’s author drops by Conway Elementary, but the Cougars were ready and rolled out the red carpet for Andrew Clements on March 29.

Clements, who lives in West Baldwin, Maine, has written more than 90 children’s books selling more than 10 million copies worldwide. His award-winning book “Frindle” has sold more than 6.5 million copies alone. He spoke and fielded questions for about 50 minutes during an all-school assembly.
