CAMPTON — The White Mountain National Forest is planning to conduct prescribed burning operations in the coming weeks. Depending on weather conditions, it is anticipated that conditions may be favorable for prescribed fire operations from mid-April until the end of May 2018, said a release from the National Forest Service.

Prescribed burns are planned in the towns of Albany, Benton, Bartlett, Stark, Milan, Berlin, Randolph, Gorham, Carroll and Chatham in New Hampshire; and in Gilead, Albany and Batchelder’s Grant in Maine.
