OSSIPEE — After being indicted in 2015 and 2016 on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault and sexual assault of several girls between 1980 and 1994 during medical appointments, former North Conway pediatrician Dr. Thomas Packard pleaded guilty in Carroll County Superior Court to a lesser charge of felony assault on Thursday.

According to County Attorney Michaela Andruzzi, Packard admitted to the reckless infliction of mental anguish during the genital examinations of three young girls between 1981 and 1986.
