OSSIPEE — A candidate for selectman is in superior court versus the town trying to defend claims that he’s violating a court order by continuing to live in a recreational vehicle without a sanctioned septic system.

Steven Brown is among the several people who are running for the three-year selectmen’s seat in Ossipee presently occupied by Sue Simpson. The town election is March 11 but the case won’t have a hearing until April 22.

With all the homelessness in our area, families sleeping in their cars, or on the couch of a friend, if they are fortunate, the town's leaders need to be more sympathetic of those who are doing their best to survive. It's not enough that we get robbed blind through non-ending taxes, now they have to tell us where we can go to the bathroom. Imagine what it was like before inside toilets were a thing....

Tired of seeing Ossipee tax dollars go to non stop legal issues the select board stirs up rather than to schools.

Selectman Jonathan Smith is a corrupt tyrant who weaponizes government against his political opponents at the expense of the taxpayers. The only winners are the lawyers.
