JACKSON — The Jackson chief of police on Tuesday dropped a violation-level complaint against the owner of Black Mountain. The complaint had stated that Erik Mogensen drove an unregistered off highway recreational vehicle on a public road.

It said Mogensen drove his 2023 John Deere on Black Mountain Road on May 3. Had he been found guilty he would have had a possible $74 fine.
