CONWAY — During a visit to the Mount Washington Valley on Thursday, Republican congressional candidate Hollie Noveletsky of Newfields spoke at the Gibson Center for Senior Services in North Conway about the need to close the U.S. border and reduce federal spending.

Noveletsky, making her first bid for political office, is running in a contested primary that features seven GOP candidates with aspirations to represent the 1st Congressional District. Democrat Chris Pappas, a Democrat, currently holds the seat.
