FREEDOM — Town residents were asked on Monday night whether they want to renovate their existing town office, which is in a historic building, or build a modern one in a new location.

The Freedom Town Office on Portland Street was built in 1895 as the Freedom Village Grammar School. It was used as a school until 1983, according to the State Register of Historic Places.
