GLEN — It’s Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start of summer, and among the top local tourism stories this season is Story Land’s all-new, close-to-completion Moo Lagoon water play area. It’s expected to make a big splash when they open early this summer in celebration of the fairy-tale amusement park’s 70th anniversary.

Although the new water attraction isn’t quite ready, Story Land will open its array of more than 50 rides and themed areas today through Monday, Memorial Day, May 25-27, and will operate weekends through Father’s Day, June 16. After that, it opens daily through Labor Day, then weekends again through Columbus Day, Oct. 14.
