MSAD 72 power back on - Jay Robinson

MSAD72 is caught in the middle of a conflict between the federal government and the State of Maine over the rights of transgender students. MSAD72 Superintendent Jay Robinson said pending an order of a court or an act of congress, MSAD72 must follow state law. (COURTESY PHOTO)

FRYEBURG, Maine — Concerns about MSAD 72’s transgender policies will be discussed Sunday at a meeting of a group calling itself Fairness 1st. Meanwhile, the MSAD superintendent says the school district is only following the state laws and has no choice.

A flyer posted to the Brownfield Maine Matters Facebook page says that Fairness 1st is “a group of locals concerned about the well-being of children.” The meeting will take place on Sunday, April 27, at the Denmark Municipal Building from noon to 2 p.m.
