CONWAY — Frank McCarthy, who has given more than 60 years to this country in military and community service, was honored with a ceremony at the Lobster Trap restaurant in North Conway on March 2. He was presented with a red, white and blue quilt from the nationally known Quilts of Valor; a commendation from Gov. Kelly Ayotte; and a Vietnam War commemorative lapel pin.
About 25 people turned out to honor McCarthy, 87, of North Conway, including his wife Terry, a Carroll County commissioner, and their daughter Sara.
