OSSIPEE — A Carroll County Superior Court judge has decided in favor of the Governor Wentworth  Regional School District in its lawsuit against Ossipee.

The town’s designated high school is Kingswood Regional in Wolfeboro, which is part of SAU 49, and in November, the school board voted to move forward with a lawsuit against the Ossipee selectmen after they — in the face of what they say are rising school taxes — decided in June to send tax revenues to the school district in equal monthly payments of $716,000 instead of the payment schedule that the district has used for years (which is based on the district’s expenses).
