CONCORD — First of all, this was the last day to form a committee of conference. Second, almost all of the business at the session was primarily voting on reports from the Republican chairperson of each committee.

Once the House passes a bill, it goes to the Senate. If the Senate passes it without changing anything in the bill, then it proceeds to the governor for her consideration. However, if the Senate even changes something as small as a punctuation mark, or adds or deletes one word, it comes back to the committee of origin for their consideration.
