CONWAY — Despite tornado warnings mostly in the southern part of the state, Conway had no issues in Sunday’s intermittent downpours, according to Conway Police Chief Chris Mattei.

“We had no reports (of incidents or damage from the storm),” said Mattei on Monday, a partly cloudy day that followed the 2½ days of showery weather, including Sunday’s morning thunderboomer at 8 a.m. and the downpour of 5 p.m. that made it seemed like vehicles were stuck in an overzealous carwash in some areas.
