TAMWORTH — On the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend, 40 women gathered at Lot 37 of Sokokis Pines in Tamworth to participate in the 12th Women Build event of Mount Washington Valley Habitat for Humanity’s affiliate.

In years past, the annual program was a nationwide collaboration between Habitat International and Lowe’s. But this year the format changed, involving only 16 affiliates, all in major urban areas the first week of March.
