CONWAY — The Maine man accused of starting an illegal fire in the Green Hills Preserve appeared in Conway's circuit court by video Tuesday. He was given a July 9 trial date.

Accused is Richard Russo, 41, of an unknown address in Maine. He was charged with Class A misdemeanors illegal kindling of fire and theft; Class B misdemeanor theft, violation level offenses of interfering with fire control personnel and failure to report a fire.
