CHOCORUA — Democratic voters looking for clear distinctions in New Hampshire's crowded 1st Congressional District primary listened to eight candidates outlining competing visions for health care, housing, and education at a 90-minute forum at The Farm Stand in Chocorua on Wednesday night.

About 100 people attended the event moderated by Paul Chant. Candidates who spoke were Sarah Chadzynski of Lyndeborough, Bill Conlin of Dover, Matthew Emerson of North Conway, state Rep. Heath Howard of Strafford, Stefany Shaheen of Portsmouth, Maura Sullivan of New Castle, Christian Urrutia of Moultonborough and Carleigh Beriont of Hampton.
