BARTLETT — The planning board Thursday denied a controversial proposal to develop a roughly 20-acre gravel pit in Glen but that denial was merely a formality as it paves the way for the project to be approved at the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The pit would be located between Routes 16 and 302, just west of the busy Routes 16/302 Glen intersection, across from Story Land and with an access off Route 302 diagonally across from the Red Parka Steakhouse and Pub and Station Street. The applicant was Curt Burke of St. Pete, LLC aided by senior project engineer Don Bouchard of Verdantas of Littleton.
