OSSIPEE — Citing “dark times” and a reluctance to raise taxes due the financial strain residents will likely face due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Carroll County delegation Thursday slashed their 2020 budget back to 2019 levels; however, they could change their minds today.

Some delegation members appeared by phone or by video conference, which was set up in the wake of the need for social distancing due to the virus.
