CONWAY – Selectmen on Tuesday voted to endorse a legislative bill that would give selectmen more authority to crack down on party houses that have become an issue because of short-term rental websites like Airbnb.

Town Manager Tom Holmes brought a draft of a letter endorsing HB 1634 to the selectmen. He said it was a bill that town planner Tom Irving had been following and and that the letter constitutes the town's response to the issue of "transient rental situation."
