PLYMOUTH — The coldest winter in a decade and related increases in the cost of wholesale power in New England have prompted the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative Board of Directors to approve a rate increase, effective with bills rendered on or after April 1.

The rate increase will impact the Co-op Power rate, which recovers the cost of power that NHEC purchases for use by its members.
