OSSIPEE — As experts warn that the isolation and economic uncertainty accompanying the COVID-19 pandemic could fuel an increase in domestic violence, Carroll County is preparing to hire a new Circuit Court-level prosecutor to handle such cases.

However, the new hire might not start in time to handle the expected surge of cases.
