Last year’s school deliberative attracted a large crowd. Here, voters raise their cards in support of moving the question on Article No. 6, the proposed operating budget. (LLOYD JONES PHOTO)

CONWAY — The million-dollar question, literally, at Monday’s Conway School Deliberative Session is what will happen to the school district’s proposed operating budget (warrant article No. 6) for the 2024-25 school year. The meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Loynd Auditorium at Kennett High School.

The Conway School Board has proposed an operating budget of $40,109,103, but it’s hardly a glowing endorsement as only four of the seven members support it.
