BARTLETT — A month after learning that a museum is not a permitted use in the residential district, the Bartlett Historical Society received a helping hand from the Bartlett School Board, which wants to help the society's achieve its goal of turning the old St. Joseph's Church into a museum.

In addition to seeking a variance to the town's zoning ordinance, the society needs to show the building has a viable septic system. Both hurdles seem surmountable but require plans, documentation and the approval of the zoning board of adjustment.
