CONWAY — Being a part of last year’s drag story hour at Conway Public Library was a life-changing event for Sarah Stowe, a board member for White Mountains Pride.

“We had some protesters there who thought that I was the drag storyteller,” said Stowe, who acted as an assistant to the event last year. “It was really life-changing for me to have people yelling at me, and to experience a kind of discrimination that I had never experienced before. It really upped my passion to bring equal rights to all people.”

Why are parents exposing their children to this? What is it they think will be accomplished?
