Family support liaisons recognized by school board

CONWAY — "I can't think of anything the school district does that would be more important than what you do; you people are heroes," Conway School Board Vice Chair Joe Lentini told the district's three family support liaisons after a presentation last week.

The board invited the family liaisons from John H. Fuller Elementary (David Olson), Pine Tree (Tracy Vokey) and Conway Elementary (Amanda McDonald) to the Professional Development Center at Kennett Middle School on Jan. 23 to talk about their programs. Olson and Vokey are in their first year of their posts, while McDonald is in her 12th year in that role. She was the first family support liaison in the district.
