Clinton opens up in Glen and ropes in reporters in Gorham

BARTLETT — Although Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke to a crowd of over 300 people Saturday in Glen on a wide range of topics from restoring the economy to dealing with Russia's Vladimir Putin, that appearance was overshadowed in the news by her staff's decision to rope in reporters at the Gorham Fourth of July parade.

On the large back deck of Michael and Julie Levine's Glen home, a view of the White Mountains framing her, Clinton spoke to a group of local residents and press in front of her, though an overflow crowd had to listen from the garden. Periodically, however, she would turn and address the listeners standing below.
