BARTLETT — Rep. Gene Chandler said he didn't get an opportunity to put House Speaker Pro Tem on his resume before the post fell by the wayside, as did Bill O'Brien's return as Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
O'Brien, from Mont Vernon, who served as Speaker from, 2010-12, edged Chandler by just four votes as the nominee of the Republican caucus three weeks ago but saw his return to the Speakership derailed last Wednesday after a marathon session in which fellow GOP member Shawn Jasper, of Hudson, emerged with the Speaker's gavel.
