Howdy neighbor!

It’s time for annual town meeting, that marvelous New England holiday when all our voters are given the chance to sit assembled in one legislative body and review our town’s budget for the coming year; and thus invested with budgetary power, our citizens can approve, deny, or amend the slate of expenditures presented by the town Select Board. This is an ancient tradition of our region, and arguably the most democratic process left in modern America — a civic oversight for which our patriot ancestors fought and bled and died to preserve.
