To The Editor:

The relationship between Blacks and Democrats is long and symbiotic (parasitic). It started in colonial times with slaves and plantation owners. This parasitic arrangement lasted until the American Civil War, at which point the Republican President Abraham Lincoln emancipated the slaves, unfortunately, just after the war, President Lincoln was assassinated and Vice President Johnson became president.
