William (Bill) M. Smith, 66, of Allen Road in Lovell, Maine, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Newton Mass., a son of Norman and Isabel Jones Smith and attended schools in Newton. Mr. Smith had previously owned and operated the Center Lovell General Store for 11 years and then employed by the town of Lovell. He was a member of the Maine State Firefighters Federation, member of the Lovell Volunteer Fire Department and he was a member of the Teamster Local 49. He enjoyed camping and fishing in the Rangely area and also fishing Kezar Lake in Lovell. But most of all he enjoyed his membership of the Lovell Fire Department.
