The College for Lifelong Learning, the statewide college for adults, is hosting an information session on CLLs Center for Alternative Teacher Preparation and the Special Education Teacher Training Program. The session will be held Tuesday, April 5, from 3 to 4 p.m. The CLL Regional Center is located at 73 Main Street in Conway. The Center for Alternative Preparation of Educators (CAPE) is committed to assisting New Hampshire overcome the critical shortage of certified teachers and other educators.The center provides guidance and support to alternative certification candidates in completing the teacher certification requirements for New Hampshire.The Special Education Teacher Training Program is designed to deliver an alternative route to certification for those who are already working in special education as teachers or paraprofessionals.Dr. Mary Ford, director of teacher education, and Rob Lukasiak, coordinator of CAPE, will be available to discuss program options and answer questions. Questions about admissions requirements, financial aid, and specific programs can also be answered. Anyone interested in pursuing a teaching career through an alternative certification route should attend.
