IT’S THE BEST OF SUMMER, and although we’re on the dry side of rainfall conditions, the summer of ’18 has been a doozy so far in terms of clear skies for local events.

Thursday was a splendid day for the 38th annual Memorial Hospital Open Golf Tournament, held at the Wentworth Golf Club in Jackson, with Gov. Chris Sununu stopping by to hobnob with tournament co-founder/former U.S. Rep. Bill Zeliff and tourney co-chair Bayard Kennett at the awards bash. Among those on hand to play were former Gov. John H. Sununu and former U.S. Sen. John E. Sununu, now a consultant.
