Valley Angler: Guiding

It has been a busy season this year at our shop and a big part of the reason was guiding. Over the last several years there has been a steady increase in the demand for guide service. If you had asked me ten years ago I would have told you that there would never be a market for fishing guides in our area. Lets face it if you come into our shop and ask where to fish we are going to give you a pretty good idea of where to fish and we will even give you a map. We may, in all honesty, hold back a little bit of information just because we may be going out fishing ourselves after work, but for the most part we give our customers a good idea of what is going on. It is always a pleasure when someone takes the time to come back into the shop to tell us we had sent them in the right direction and that they had caught fish. It is even more of a pleasure if they happen to purchase a fly or two.
