For anyone planning to burn firewood for heat this winter, now is the time to place your order. New Hampshire is blessed with an abundance of trees well suited for use as firewood, and it's hard to beat the feeling of sitting in front of a warm wood fire on a cold winter's day. Currently, firewood prices are averaging $250 to $275 a cord for green wood, and $325 to $375 a cord for seasoned wood.
