A pair of traveling blue jeans will arrive at the Cook Library on Saturday, March 3. The traveling pants were inspired by a popular series of books by Anne Brashares and, for five months, are making their way around the state to different libraries. Readers of the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" books are invited to come to the library to sign and decorate the pants before they travel, one week later, to their next stop.On Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. the library will offer a sewing workshop for teens who want to make purses from old blue jeans. All materials will be provided and sewing skills are not necessary. The evening workshop will include refreshments and a free drawing for three of the "Traveling Pants" books. Workshop participants, with their new purses, will have their photos taken, and the pictures, along with the pants, will travel on to the next library.
