The Tamworth Outing Club welcomes everyone to the Tamworth Town House for the August “Second Saturday” contra dance. Dancing starts at 7:30 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. on the second floor of the Tamworth Town House, in Tamworth Village, opposite the Congregational Church. The Tamworth Outing Club, with partner organizations and businesses, hosts a dance on the second Saturday of each month, year-round.
The Tamworth Outing Club welcomes its community partner, Chocorua Lake Conservancy, a volunteer-led, non-profit land trust, founded in 1968 to protect the scenic and natural resources of the Chocorua Lake Basin, acreage that includes shorefront and wetlands supporting a diversity of unusual plants and animals. The Chocorua Lake Conservancy is committed to providing public access to Chocorua Lake and trails on nearby conservation lands for visitors and local residents.
