By Tim Scott

It was late in 2010 when my son decided to return home after his four years away, a span which included college experiences in both New Haven and Boston. Coming home seemed a good idea at the time and has further proven to be so in the years since. Big cities, then as now, can be both lonely and harsh places. And unlike cities, our little valley remains a safe and welcoming place to call home.
